Default Warr/Nec or Nec/Warr?

What's a more fun class (didn't say best), but just wondering from experienced people, if you had to do it all over again, what would you do?

Warrior/Necromancer because Plague Touch is awesome.

As for Necromancer/Warrior, don't get people started..

W/N would be used for mostly Warrior, with probably only Plague Touch being used.

N/W would perhaps be Necromancer with Tactics? There isn't much to offer.

I've seen a hex spammer with shields up.

Warriors are, by far, the most 'fun' profession.

I have both a w/n and n/w who have each been with me for more than a year. I'd take the n/w every time. Much more fun because of the flexibility soul reaping gives. No comparison as far as sheer funnery.

Shouldn't take with N/W, so Life Transfer is pointless.
Think of N/W as a Toucher with a sword, but instead you are using Sword (or w/e weapon you use) skills to deal most of the damage and life stealing skills for heal.
-thinks about N/A assassins-

it really depends on what you want to do. either are viable, but i have tried both, and you just have to keep in mind when you're making this character, whether you want to use more spells or whether you want to melee more. I lean towards the N/W, simply because energy management is so much easier. Being part warrior, you'll be somewhat in the thick of things, if not in the thick of them, so having a few points in soul reaping makes things so much smoother. but bear in mind, i wouldnt suggest trying to tank as a N/W, I've tried it and basically, its pointless, because you are constantly having to use blood spells to heal yourself, and arent really attacking or using adrenal skills much at all.

What my N/W does is basically lay down some curses (Enfeebling Blood and Mark of Pain being 2 of my favorites), lets a hero/hench/minion take the brunt of the aggroes, and then kind of be the 2nd guy in so i can still melee and use an occasional adrenal skill, but rarely have to deal with more than 1 attacker. the enfeeblement keeps you from taking too much damage, and if you're hitting a foe with mark of pain, you're also doing damage to any adjacent enemies as well. She's only lvl 15 right now, so i cant give you much end game viability help.

Basically, its a matter of preference. if you wanna melee more, go warrior for the better armor and whatnot. if you wanna be more spell/hex heavy, go with necro. there's really no right or wrong answer.

If you want to play a melee character, you'll be much more powerful as a W/N. Don't get stuck in the "necromancers use spells" mindset. Usually, the secondary profession on a warrior is just for one utility skill. W/N usually just uses Plague Touch and the rest are warrior skills. Some people will try to make a W/N with life steals, or a W/Mo with healing spells, but it usually just results in a gimpy characters with poor healing and poor damage output.

Likewise, if you make a N/W I'd advise against using melee weapons. Some people play "Meleemancers" and say it's great fun; this may be true, but if you want to be a real threat on the battlefield then I'd recommend avoiding the meleemancing route.

To decide which class is more fun, you have to consider your playstyle. Do you like to control an army of minions, or steal opponents' health from the edge of the fray, or perhaps exert control over opponents' actions by covering them with nasty hexes? If you answered "Yes" to any of these, then I'd go with N/W or N/any for that matter. If, on the other hand, you prefer to lead your team into battle, have great survivability, and output devastating amounts of damage and conditions, then I'd go with W/N or even W/any.

W/N is fun to play for some low cost skills or you could use a staff and be like touch ranger that gives out more eergy anyway don't even think about N/W as there won't be to many /W skill that you will use it is differennt when you play Monk/Warrior I have protection prayers anyway a better one would be a Nercro/Ranger.

Touching doesn't really worth without Expertise. I see some N/* try to do it occasionally, and I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

I'm not sure what all of you are talking about, but your W/N just sound like W/X with plague touch. Personally, I made a W/N, got Virulence, and made it so that he gives -11 degen (and weakness) to fleshies and spreads -4 of that degen to fleshies of the same kind.

The thing to remember about a W/N is that warriors don't really need energy; they can subside almost entirely on adrenaline. As such their 20-33 (with armor and +5 weapon) energy can be devoted solely to casting quick, cheap buffing/hexing spells. Even so, a zealous weapon helps.

Plus W/Ns don't have to be afraid of getting into the fray.
